What If (4): Dr Strange Lost His Heart and His Mind? 🎥

RELATED:

In his grief, Strange goes to Kamar-Taj (an isolated community located in Tibet, in the Himalayas) and studies the Mystic Arts. There, he discovers the Eye of Agamotto, which can manipulate time, but his time travel plan is warned by the Ancient One and Wong because doing so could destroy the reality.

Two years after Palmer's death, Strange repeatedly uses the Eye of Agamotto to rewind the time, and he does everything possible, over and over again, to prevent Palmer's death, but no matter how Dr Strange arranges the situation, Christine still dies.

The Ancient One tells Strange that Palmer's death was an "Absolute Point" in the timeline and could not be undone. However, Strange refuses to listen to here and insists on finding a way to break the Absolute Point.

Against Strange's unshakable will, the Ancient One uses the power of the Dark Dimension to split the timeline into two: one branch where Strange summons and absorbs the powers of monsters to become the Strange Supreme; and the other branch is where the mainstream Strange accepts Palmer's death and continues to live a normal life.

As reality begins to show signs of being torn apart by the activities of Strange Supreme, The Ancient One asks the mainstream Strange, with Wong's amulet, to fight against the Strange Supreme and save the world.

However, resorting to a trap by impersonating Christine, Strange Supreme overpowers the mainstream Strange and absorbs him. Using his absorbing power, Strange Supreme revives Palmer, but at the same time tearing the reality apart.

Strange Supreme begs The Watcher for help, but Watcher refuses to intervene, and Palmer dies once more as the universe in which she exists dissolves.

A whole universe just disappears because of a broken heart!

RELATED:

This time, the nexus event was the death of Agent Hope Van Dyne, which leads to her father Hank Pym turning into Yellowjacket and going for revenge, targeting the Avengers candidates: Tony Stark, Thor, Hulk, Barton and finally Black Widow.

Upon learning of Thor's death, Loki brings his troops to Earth to avenge, intending to use the power of the Casket of Ancient Winter to turn the earth into ash and ice.

Nick Fury tries to negotiate with Loki to buy time before finding out the killer. When he later learns that the culprit is Hank Pym thanks to Black Widow's last words over the phone, he asks Loki for help in apprehending the culprit.

However, after all, Loki does not want to return to Asgard but stay on Earth to rule as an emperor.

Not all is lost. At the end of the episode, Nick Fury finds Steve Rogers frozen in the ice and summons the secret Captain Marvel - presumably for the fight against Loki's occupation.

What If (2) T'Challa Became the Star-Lord? 🎥

In Episode 2 "What If...T'Challa Became the Star-Lord?", set in Wakanda in 1988, the Ravagers instead of kidnapping Celestial Ego's son Peter Quill, mistakenly capture the Prince of Wakanda T'Challa.

RELATED:

This episode can be seen as Chadwick Boseman's last performance as the voice of T'Challa, before his death.

T'Challa's outstanding successes as Star Lord

It seems that T'Challa's achievements in the variant universe are more monumental than Peter's ones in the mainstream universe. T'Challa has helped Yondu and the Ravagers become more of the heroes, achieve more feats, and become more famous. He even successfully convinces Thanos to abandon the mad plan to wipe out half of the universe's population.

T'Challa also saved Drax's (Dave Bautista) home planet Kylos from a Kree invasion, so Drax's wife and daughter are still alive and Drax is working as a bartender. Drax is a huge fan of T'Challa and loves taking selfies with his great idol.

Since Thanos' intrigues in his quest for the Infinity Stones have shaped much of the MCU's mainstream timeline, this rewrites much of what we already know. However, there is still friction between Thanos and his adopted daughter Nebula (Karen Gillen) for some trivial reasons.

Taneleer Tivan – The Collector

It turns out that Taneleer Tivan (Benicio del Toro) has filled the power vacuum left by Thanos' reform. He even recruited the Black Order, the elves of Thanos as seen in the mainstream timeline, to be his sidekicks.

Tivan still enjoys collecting treasures, powerful weapons magical beasts from across the galaxy – including the Embers of Genesis, a nutrient-rich cosmic dust that can revive dead planets or  nourish "billions of people across millions of worlds." This is the solution to the hunger of the galaxy, instead of going to kill half of the population as envisioned by Thanos.

In order to infiltrate Tivan's domain, Nebula stages the play of selling the Morag Orb to Tivan (used to contain the dangerous Power Stone).

Despite Tivan the Collector's use of some of the most powerful weapons in the universe, especially Hela's helmet, T'Challa and Yondu cleverly defeat him by trick and then imprison him.

The Fate of Peter Quill

Back on Earth, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) of this reality seems to have grown up and lived a normal life, now working at a dairy store. Peter's father Celestial Ego (Kurt Russell) appears to meet him. As the Observer said, "Too bad this might spell the end of the world".

In the mainstream timeline, Ego the Living Planet - Star-Lord's biological father is a Celestial who controls humanoid avatar to travel through space. Over the years, Ego has planted seedlings on thousands of different planets to transform those planets into an extended life form of his own.

Ego needed the help of another Celestial to activate them, so he had sex with many women of various races on different planets in search of a child carrying the Celestial gene. And Peter Quill is that rare descendant.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Peter Quill discovered Ego's plot and sabotaged it; but in this variant timeline, could a Peter serving at a dairy shop can do the same thing?
