Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn is a 2020 American superhero movie with the main character Harley Quinn after the events of the 2016 Suicide Squad movie.

Four years after joining the Suicide Squad to defeat the Enchantress, Harley Quinn was broken up by the Joker. She roams around Gotham City like a homeless, then took in by a Taiwanese restaurant owner named Doc, she keeps a hyena as her pet and often practices rollerblading.

Harley is often drunk in the nightclub of crime boss Roman Sionis and accidentally gets entangled in this guy's loss of a precious diamond to the theft, originating from the Bertinelli crime family.

The diamond is related to some others: Singer Dinah Lance working at Roman Sionis' bar who later becomes his betrayer; Helena Bertinelli, who survived the massacre of her whole family in the past, became an assassin, looking for the old perpetrators to take revenge; Detective Renee Montoya who is investigating the murders committed by Helena.

Later, the three characters Montoya, Dinah and Helena formed a team called Birds of Prey to track down criminals everywhere.

As for Harley, she kidnapped little Cassandra "Cass" Cain - who stole the diamond and swallowed it after being caught by the police.

Harley and Cassandra hid in Mr. Doc's apartment but were eventually sold out by Doc. Later, with the help of Montoya, Dinah and Helena, they defeat Sionis, sell the diamond to a pawn shop for a large sum of money, and leave, starting a new life.
