Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 1 Episode 6: The Force and Conscience Awakened on Tatooine [Star Wars]

In Episode 6/6 of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, Obi Wan decides to use a small spaceship to leave the Path's main ship in order to disperse Dark Vader's pursuit; and that is also the way for him to return to the planet Tatooine because he knows that the little Luke Skywalker is in danger right now.

RELATED

Dark Vader catches up with Obi Wan and they have their second duel. This time, it seems that all the Force in Obi Wan has really recovered and the fight between them goes through some dramatic twists, but overall they are of equal strength.

Obi Wan cuts off part of Dark Vader's mask and reveals his disfigured face. He is shocked and saddened by the current state of his former friend and disciple.

No matter how much he hates Obi Wan, Dark Vader still considers him as "Master" and is aware that "Anakin Skywalker died because he killed himself, no other one did that".

Meanwhile, after learning that Luke Skywalker is the son of Dark Vader, Reva manages to go to Owen's house with the purpose of killing the boy as a way of revenge. However, just before taking the fatal action on the boy, she changes her mind in time.

Owen allows Obi Wan to meet Luke - he greets the boy "Hello there". Perhaps the process of training Luke into an outstanding Jedi would begin here.

Who is Qui-Gon Jinn?

At the end of the episode and season, on a journey in the middle of the desert, Obi Wan encounters Qui-Gon Jinn's Ghost Force and it seems that the two will discuss a plan to rebuild their forces to overthrow the Empire.

Qui-Gon Jinn, played by Liam Neeson, is a powerful Jedi Master who is Obi Wan's master and also the one who sees the Force potential within Anakin - then a young slave.

Qui-Gon was mortally wounded during his duel with the Sith Lord Darth Maul. In his final moments, he made Obi-Wan promise to train Anakin. At the end of Revenge of the Sith, Qui-Gon learned how to become a Ghost Force after death, and taught that method to Yoda and later Obi-Wan.

Thanks to Qui-Gon's method, later in the Star Wars sequels, we often meet the Ghost Force of the deceased Jedi such as: Yoda, Obi-Wan, and the next generation Leia and Luke Skywalker.

Will the Obi Wan Kenobi series have Season 2?

The Obi Wan Kenobi series basically focuses on the journey to rescue little Princess Leia, and with it the hateful and painful  encounters between Obi Wan and the Dark Vader more than 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. The story focuses more on Leia than on Luke as many initially surmised.

According to information from Disney, the series set a record as "Most watched TV show on Disney+ in its opening week", on a global scale, throughout the history of Disney+. It's quite a record.

The series is set 10 years before the New Hope (Star Wars: A New Hope - Episode IV), so there would be many topics to explore if it is renewed for season 2. However, so far Disney has made no official confirmation whether there would be a season 2 of Obi Wan Kenobi.

In some interviews, both actors Hayden (Anakin/Dark Vader) and Ewan (Obi Wan) have expressed their willingness to participate if season 2 is to be green-lighted.
