Superman & Lois Episode 5: super-zombies of Morgan Eadge 🎥

In Episode 5 of Superman & Lois “The Best of Smallville”, the traditional Harvest Festival season comes to the town. The son of Sharon working for for Morgan Edge unexpectedly returns after missing report; Captain Luthor shows his face as a jealous ex of Lois.

When Derek returns, Sharon takes him to the Smallville Gazette and asks Lois to stop the series of stories about her son's disappearance. However, at a charity fundraiser for the festive season, Derek explodes his superpowers and destroys the shelter and just disappears.

The Gazette chief discovers Dereck's location; Superman arrives and comes to know that it is a Morgan base to revive the dead into super-powered corpses. Superman chases Dereck on air, but both are hit by Captain Luthor's rocket.

Captain Luthor's conversations with his artificial robot assistant show that in a past life on another planet Lois was Luthor's lover, and he is just jealous of Clark Kent on the Earth in this life.

Superman & Lois Episode 4: 7734, Killgrave and X-Kryptonite 🎥

Episode 4 of Superman & Lois "Haywire" reveals Morgan Edge's plans and plots in Smallville, which turns out not a sweet sweet home for the Kent family to live in.

CLARK AND THE CRAZY KILLGRAVE

Clark once again struggles to fulfill his duties as a husband, dad and, as we know, a superhero. Clark's latest adventure begins when his cranky father-in-law asks him to help escort a dangerous criminal to a new prison.

Clark politely refuses that request, in order to spend time training football for his 2 children. Incidentally, the criminal is Thaddeus Killgrave, a psychopath radicalized by hatred of Superman, who escaped during the prison transfer.

Superman finally pins Thaddeus Killgrave’s location, but he is attacked by the mad man with a special sound weapon, capable of temporarily disabling Superman's powers.

GENERAL SAM's PLAN 7734

The relationship between General Sam and the Kent family becomes strained and intense when he deliberately interfers in many family affairs, and was bluntly "unwelcomed" by Lois.

The hard relationship with Lois (and Superman), along with Captain Luthor's constant warnings about Superman, leds him to start Project 7734 (which he calls a "backup plan") - apparently a plan against Superman somehow.

MORGAN EDGE AND X-KRYPTONITE

Clark, busy with his superhero duties, brokes his promise to his wife to attend a town hall voter meeting where Lois wanted Clark to use his influence over the local residents to reverse the approval of Morgan Edge's mining project in Smallville.

The episode ends with Leslie Larr helping Morgan punch a hole through a rock wall in the mine they just wins the right to exploit. It proves to contain "enough X-Kryptonite to revive an army" according to Morgan.

Superman & Lois Episode 3: the mutants working for Morgan Edge

In Episode 3 of "Superman and Lois", Captain Luthor is absent, Lois digs deeper into her investigation of Morgan Edge and the incidents leads the appearance of some super-powerful characters.

SUPERMAN'S RESCUE MISSION IN CHINA

As the episode began, Clark abruptly flys out of a family fun to fly over to China to lift a collapsing bridge. Clark is still engrossed with such sudden rescues from time to time.

SUPERMAN HOME AFFAIRS

During a conflict between Sean and Jordan at school, Superman uses his super-hearing and appears just in time to ease the situation, preventing Jordan from exposing his superpowers. The two boys then find out that their father is still using his super-hearing to spy on them, seeing this as a violation of privacy and starting to struggle with anger.

 

Elsewhere, Jordan wants to find his place in the school football team, so he uses his superpowers to play well in the game. The boy hides this plan from his father that makes Clark angry, and father and sons then exchange some good arguments.

 

And then our smart Clark comes up with a compromise too: Jordan could play in the football team, but on the condition that Clark is there always to watch. To do this, Clark applies to become the assistant to the team coach.

LANA'S FAMILY STORY

 

The episode also explores the Lana family story, and it turns out things are not as beautiful as their showing to the others. Lana and her husband Kyle barely talked to each other. Lana and her daughter Sarah's relationship has been strained since the girl tried to commit suicide.

At the end of the episode, Lana and Sarah get a break through when Sarah finally reveals why she tried to kill herself a year ago - she feels trapped in Smallville, living a life without hope and way out.

PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR MORGAN EDGE

A woman named Sharon Powell contacts Lois about her story involving Morgan Edge. It turns out that Sharon's son Derek came to work for Morgan in New Carthage project, but he mysteriously disappeared.

Lois visited Sharon's inn when she was attacked by a mutant. This person seems to have been sent by Morgan. Thankfully, Superman arrives in time to save the Lois and the tied Sharon. This mutant has more power than humans and even defeats Superman and is defeated only after Superman uses a spray of frozen gas to immobilize him.

The attacker escapes Superman, but on his way back he is killed by Morgan's Assistant, Leslie (Stacey Farber) - apparently to cover up what he has done. What amazes us is that Leslie uses her eyes to shoot the lazer beam like a deadly weapon - just the way Superman used to.

In the DC Comics, Leslie is also a Kryptonian and a rival to Supergirl.

Superman & Lois Episode 2: the foes being Captain Luthor and Morgan Edge

In Episode 2 of "Superman & Lois", Clark Kent seeks to train and evaluate Jordan's superpowers to improve his self-control over them. Captain Luthor also gradually reveals the reason why he choses Superman as his target for termination.

JORDAN's LIMITED KRYPTOPIAN SUPERPOWERS

The Clark and Lois decide not to let Jordan go to school, but take the boy to the Fortress of Solitude where the Kryptonian technology (and Jor-el's hologram as Clark's father) to assess the level of Jordan's strength.

The results show that Jordan is not qualified enough to be as strong as Clark, and this disappoints the boy. Jordan carries human DNA also, so his abilities are limited, only equal to just 1/100 of Superman.

Jonathan, on the other hand, has to continue to school where the boy is being spurned by his teammates after Jordan flirting with Sarah which madesher boyfriend angry. This situation causes the twins to have an argument.

CAPTAIN LUTHOR'S MOTIVATIONS

Luthor blames Superman for destroying his home planet. And in one conversation, Luthor reads the slogan: "We need to stop Kal-el (ie Superman) before he does to the earth what he did to ours."

And Superman is not the only character on earth that Luthor knows. Luthor manages to meet General Lane (Superman's father-in-law) and insists "You have to stop protecting him. He's not one of us. Where I come from, you're like me, and you don't trust him either because you know what is capable of". 

In a flashback, we see General Len and Luthor in the same army unit, Superman then in his black suit appears and uses laser eyes to destroy the soldiers mercilessly.

Currently, Luthor is searching all over the planet to find Kryptonite - the materials can weakens Superman's powers.

LOIS AND MORGAN EDGE

Smallville has a new happening which is the Morgan Edge Group's mining project. Lois realizes the negative impact this project can bring to the town, so she decides to write an investigative report to expose the truth.

Her article was substantially edited by the Daily Planet Magazine to distract the true story. Lois is dissatisfied and decided to quit her job at the newspaper and switch to local newspaper Smallville Gazette.

Superman & Lois Episode 1: Jordan to discover his superpower 🎥

In Episode 1 of "Superman & Lois", Clark Kent and Lois Lane are in their middle-age, married and have 14-year-old twins, Jon and Jordan. The big changes in life and work, especially the death of Clark's mother have brought the whole family back to live in their hometown Smallville.

CLARK KENT AND HIS TWO SONS

Superman has essentially failed as a father to his teen twins, Jonathan and Jordan: during their childhood he seemed to prioritize saving-the-world missions instead of taking care of them. He also deliberately hides his identity as Superman; so when they learn this truth, both of his children reacts negatively.

The accidental happenings in the episode help Superman discover Jordan also has superpowers like him. It is worth mentioning that this boy suffered from some disorders of social interaction from a young age. This may be a new discovery leading to many turning points in the film's storyline.

CAPTAIN LUTHOR

The episode features Captain Luthor: a mysterious guest from a planet parallel to Earth (unspecified) trying to defeat Superman to prove to the world that it no longer needs Superman. 

Luthor seems to know fully about Superman's origins and strengths and outweighs Superman in the first encounter.
