RELATED

When the Greens’ army lead by Cole, now the King’s Right Hand, attackes Rook's Rest in a sophisticated plan, Princess Rhaenys volunteer to bring her Meleys there to help the allies, while Rhaenyra’s Council seems to completely unthink of Aemon’s ambush plan with Vahgar.

When Meleys is firing on Cole’s army, Aegon II on Sunfyre suddenly appears and attacks it fist with fire breath. Meleys easily escapes then fights back from above with its claws, causing Sunfyre heavily bleed. Sunfyre is no match to Meleys in terms of both size and skill and it seems to be defeated soon.

However, Aemon interferes, he orders Vahgar to fire on both Meleys and Sunfyre; Aemon’s intention is clear: he wants death to both Rhaenys and his brother-King Aegon. Meleys survives Vahgar’s fire, but Sunfyre is seriously burnt and wounded. The gold dragon falls down effortlessly.

With some hesitation, the brave Rhaenys orders Meleys to attack a much bigger Vahgar. The smart and skillful Meleys knows how to combat effectively: it attacks the green giant enemy from beneath with its claws, while trying to avoid the massive fire breath.

The attack makes Vahgar fall on the ground, but it manages to stand up and fly away.

After circling around for a while, the exshausted Rhaenys flies Meleys toward the sea, maybe to come back,  Vahgar hiding on the other side of the tower rises up suddenly and fatally throttles Meleys.
