Doctor Strange 3: The Deadly Transverse Journeys by Dream-Walkers Desperate For Love

Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 2022 follows the trans-universal sleepwalking journeys of the Scarlet Witch and the Dr Strange from different realities, stemming from each person's personal tragedy. The film follows the events of The Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision, Loki, What If ... ? and most recently Spider-Man 3: No Way Home, focusing on the magical arts world.

Dr Strange 3 is heavily "cinematic universe oriented" because if viewers do not follow Marvel's recent movies and TV series, it will be difficult for them to grasp what happens on the film. The film is set in our main universe – Earth 616; and many other variant universes, most importantly Earth 838, based on the Marvel Comics.

The Earth Prime's Wanda becomes the Dark Scarlet Witch version

The TV series WandaVision basically created another tragedy for Wanda 616 after she lost her loved one, Vision in Avengers: Endgame. Wanda's new tragedy is the feeling of a losing mother, even though her children did not really exist but were created by her magic instead.

Possessing the Darkhold helps Wanda develop telepathic abilities to know what are taking place in other Universes and learns of the existence of the twins Billy and Tommy (names of her two fictional children), although they are children of other Wanda versions, but Wanda 616 is obsessed that they are her own.

Being mad for the sake of finding her children and further corrupted by the Darkhold, Wanda throughout the film emerges as an evil Witch with boundless strength, ready to do anything, any kill to hunt. and deprive the young girl of America Chavez's powers - a character with no variants throughout the universes, who are capable of opening transverse portals linking the multiverse just witch a punch.

Scarlet Witch does truly shocking events and breakes all the rules of the wizard world: ravaging the Kamar-Taj temple despite the fact that the entire world of magic gather here to fend off; becoming the ruler at the Tower of the Elder God Chthon on Mount Wundagore; killing most of the Illuminati of Earth 838 (including Mordo, Captain Carter, King Black Bolt, Captain Maria Rambeau, Dr. Reed Richards, and Professor Charles Xavier)...

Wanda only comes to her senses when she actually confronts Billy and Tommy on Earth 838 and the two scared children call her a witch, while they try to protect their real mother. Wanda 838, after being badly possessed by Wanda 616 for a while, still sympathizes with her version and tells Scarlet that "We will be loved".

Desperate-For-Love Dr Strange Variants in the Multiverse

Throughout the film is the journey of Dr Strange of the prime universe (Earth 616) trying to protect America Chavez from the Scarlet Witch's hunt. This leads to many interstellar travels and he comes to learn about the fate of other Dr Strange variants there.

The common point of the Dr Strange across the universes is that the relationship between Dr Strange and Christine never work to a happy ending, no matter how he loves her. If Strange on Earth 616 accepts his separation from Christine, even attending her remarriage with joy; other Strangers proved to be very submissive.

In order to find the Darkhold Book to sleepwalk back to the main Earth, Dr Strange 616 confronts and has a tough musical fight with a sinister Strange - presumably the version that appeared in the What If ... ? series. In this universe, the desperation-for-love led the dark Strange to use the Darkhold to sleepwalk across the universes, to find out the realities where "Dr Strange and Christine are happy together", even to break the "absolute point" working in this universe causes it to be destroyed forever. But no realities with such happy ending could be found.

Meanwhile on Earth Earth-838, Dr Strange abused the Darkhold and created an incursion of the universes, so the Illuminati decided to kill him after winning the battle with Thanos, although later a monument of Dr Strange was erected there.

In the credits of the movie, Dr Strange in the main universe pops up  a third eye on his forehead - the Eye of Agamotto. Usually, this is the telltale sign of an evil Strange using the Book of Darkhold to sleepwalk. But fortunately the Darkholds across the entire multiverse have been destroyed by Wanda; we hope Dr Strange 616 remains the brightest version of the Supreme Sorcerer  in the galaxy.

And as an inherent limitation of the Cinematic Universes, viewers wonder "Where were all the Avengers, Eternals when not only Earth but the Multiverse was in great danger?".

In Marvel Comics, the Illuminati is a secret society, a collection of superheroes or anti-heroes representing forces, formed shortly after the Kree-Skrull War.

Members of the Illuminati include originally:
  • Namor/Sub-Mariner is the King of Atlantis and the Seven Seas and represents the anti-heroic force,
  • Iron Man/Tony Stark represents the Avengers,
  • Reed Richards Leader of the Fantastic Four, represents the superhero community with a science-based abilities,
  • Black Bolt represents the World of Inhumans,
  • Dr. Stephen Strange represents magic, occultism and non-science force, and
  • Professor Charles Xavier, represents the X-Men mutants.

In the movie's trailer, it seems that the Illuminati exists in a variant universe rather than in the main universe; and members of the society may be vary from the comics.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness may create a landmark for the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 as every Marvel Comics superhero force would be introduced, including those that formerly belonged to another cinematic universe.

The personal life aspects of Wanda/Scarlet Witch and Dr Strange in the previous films are expected to be the sources of major developments in the film. Rachel McAdams will appear as Christine Palmer - Dr Strange's lover; kid actors Julian Hilliard and Jett Klyne will return as Wanda Maximoff's twin sons from the WandaVision series - Billy and Tommy.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, directed by Sam Raimi, will be released in theaters on May 2, 2022.

Where does the Dr Strange Evil in Multiverse of Madness 2022 come from? 📆

In the new Teaser for the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it looks like Doctor Strange will once again be facing a evil of himself - and this could be one of the main villains of the movie. However, it remains unclear whether this Dr Strange variant arises from the current universe or from another, and whether it is the Dr Strange Supreme that once appeared in the What If…? animated series

A Brief on Dr Strange in What If…?

A version of Doctor Strange appeared in three episodes of What If...? series, in three nexus situations: if Doctor Strange lost his love instead of his hand, if Ultron won, and if Watcher broke his promise.

In this universe, Stephen Strange did not accept the death of his lover Christine Palmer, and was obsessed with resurrecting her in any way possible. This Doctor Strange Supreme began to accumulate power by absorbing the energies of magical beings, eventually breaking the laws of reality to bring Palmer back to life. However that broke the universe's point of time that can not be undone - causing it to shatter forever.

When the Watcher needed Dr Strange's help to defeat a variant of Ultron that was threatening the entire multiverse, Dr Strange became the leader of the Guardians of the Multiverse.

Finally, after the war with Ultron, Dr Strange promised to guard the last shard of his home universe, which now serves as a dimension to imprison the Killmonger, Ultron, and Arnim Zola variants who are competing to obtain the Infinity Stones.

Would the What If's Dr Strange Supreme appear in the Movie 2022?

We still think that if the MCU multiverse already has Evil Doctor Strange, it's just natural for him to appear again in the 2022 Movie.

However, the connection has yet to be confirmed by anyone involved with this movie.

It should be considered that What If ...? and Multiverse of Madness are made by different teams, and they don't have the same writers. Recently, director Bryan Andrews of What If...? says the Multiverse of Madness crew had a reference to What If…?'s version of Dr Strange, but maybe they were inspired by the version a little.

It's entirely possible that the Multiverse of Madness will pick up what happens in What If...? to start a new series of events! But there are also many worlds in the multiverse, and there may be more than one Evil Doctor Strange out there to be picked or fresh-created.

An infinite multiverse that makes anything possible.

Wanda's New Power (Scarlet Witch)

Multiverse of Madness is set after Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021, so Dr Strange already knows the existence of the Multiverse, but perhaps his understanding of it is still quite limited.

In the trailer, Dr Strange turns to Wanda for help on the knowledge regarding the multiverse. Another scene shows Wanda magically meditating with a ring of candles around - similar to the scene from the credits of finale episode of the Wandavision series, in which Wanda heard her son's cry for help from another universe.

This can be implicitly determined, thanks to the book of Darkhold, Wanda has developed the ability to "observe and hear everything" in the Multiverse. From the current timeline, Wanda has the ability to use her magic to know what's going on in other universes.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be in theaters from May 6, 2022.

Spider-Man 3 Introduces Venom into the Marvel Cinematic Universe

At the end of the movie Venom 2 - "Let There Be Carnage", Venom and Eddie watch on TV together when J. Jonah Jameson reveals Spider-Man's identity as Peter Parker. This detail is directly related to the events in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" 2021.

The occurrences in Spider-Man 3 show that Dr Strange's "out of rhythm" spell not only summons the 5 big names including Dr. Otto Octavius, Green Goblin, Electro, The Lizard and Sandman but also many other characters from their respective universes, including Eddie and Venom.

It's beyond the couple's exceptions to enjoy their honeymoon in another universe.

Although not playing any role in the main events of Spider-Man 3, Venom does appear in the mid-credits.

In this scene, Eddie Brock and Venom sit in a bar and discuss with the bartender about other superheroes and recent events happening in this universe. While pondering how to "protect" this new world (yes, protect it), the duo are quickly transported back to their universe by Strange's magic, but inadvertently leave a symbiote on the counter.

Marvel movie set-ups always contain a hint of something for future events. From this detail, it can be inferred that the symbiote left by Venom may later find a host to develop into a version of Venom to officially join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And so, just in a short moment, Venom has "seeded"  on another universe. Well, the Eddie-Venom's honeymoon prove to be quite fruitful!

What If (8): The Age of Ultron Prevailed? 🎥

In the Episode 8 “What If… Ultron Won?”, the nexus is that Ultron, after obtaining Vision's Mind Stone and vibranium body, defeats the Avengers and launchs a global nuclear holocaust, and goes further by gradually destroying other universes to put an end to all life.

Invincible Ultron with 6 Infinity Stones

Thanos appears on Earth to find the Mind Stone in order to complete the Infinity Gauntlet, but Ultron kills him instantly and takes away the 5 Infinity Stones, thus gaining control of all 6. Thanks to the 6 powerful stones inlaid on his forehead and chest, Ultron has unparalleled strength, using them to create a giant robot army and destroy all life across the universe.

Captain Marvel Carol Danvers, Clint Barton, and Black Widow Natasha Romanoff are the sole survivors on Earth. Danvers fights Ultron but eventually dies at his hands. Meanwhile, Barton and Romanoff find a copy of Arnim Zola's consciousness and attempt to bring it into Ultron's mind to destroy him. Barton sacrifices himself to let Romanoff and Zola, now in the body of a robot, escape from Ultron.

The upload failed because Ultron's main body was no longer in their universe.

The Watcher vs Ultron

Ultron discovers the existence of the multiverse and attacks The Watcher. They fight across the multiverse until Ultron has the upper hand and The Watcher is forced to flee. Ultron stands in The Watcher's place and now can observe the entire multiverse happenings.

The Watcher reluctantly asked the Ultimate Strange for help.

This special episode of the series shows the connection of the 3 Universes: in addition to the current universe is the universe of Strange the Supreme which was completely destroyed due to his undoing the Absolute Point in Episode 4, and the other universe where Thor meets Jane in Episode 7 and they confront Ultron in the final seconds of the episode.

And this is also the first time The Watcher has been forced to abandon its "non-interference" principle.
