Wandavision Episode 9 (Finale): The Hex is all over, Scarlet Witch shows her true form

In Episode 9 of WandaVision - The Avengers, facing the the dark scheme of the Agatha Harkness to steal her Chaos Magic, Wanda has to go through a duel, in terms of both power and wisdom, and she now also must make a major decision of life and future.

AGATHA HARKNESS THE POISONOUS SNAKE

Agatha uses various tricks to get Wanda to give up her Chaos Magic: making the awakened residents of Westview to pressure Wanda to dismantle the Hexagon and return the town to its normal; citing a chapter in the Darkhold Book which describes the Scarlet Witch as a world destroyer with the aim of making Wanda feel guilty if she decides to become a witch; using absorbing magic to neutralize and comsume the magic red balls of Wanda.

WANDA AT A MAJOR CROSSROADS OF HER LIFE

Wanda now has to face the truth: her manipulation of an entire town of more than 3,000 people has stolen their real lives and those of their loved ones; as told, the manipulated Westview residents saw and suffered every nightmare and grief she experienced.

Meanwhile, removing the Hexagon spell over Westview means that  her husband Vision and her two children Tommy and Billy also come into a vanish for sure. All happiness gone.

In addition, Wanda also faces another choice: to accept herself as  Scarlet Witch as labelled by Agatha with all the prophecies about the great evil of the character, or to give up all magic (to Agatha) to live a normal and happy life with her virtual family, as Agatha's agitation and seduction.

In the end, Wanda makes the end decision of her own, of course with the consultation and sharing from Vision, and now we recognize a mature, calm, determined and powerful Wanda more than ever before.

WHO IS THE REAL VISION NOW?

Once activated again, the White Vision is programmed by Director Tyler to fly into the Hexagon to find and destroy the supposedly real (red) Vision.

However, after a mid-fight conversation with Red/Hex Vision over an identity metaphysical experiment known as the Ship of Theseus, White Vision begins to doubt his true identity and allows Red Vision to help him recover old memory, or data more exactly.

White Vision now remember all memories, up to the point when he was stripped of the Mind Stone from his forehead by Thanos. White Vision says "I am Vision" before flying out of Westview without returning.

It can be said that in his relationship with Wanda, the White Vision now has all the memories shared with her (except for the recent period being together in the Hexagon - which belongs to the Red Vision, of course). However, without the Mind Stone, whether White Vision was the original Vision in the Infinity War remains something uncertain to us.

WandaVision Episode 8 - Scarlet Witch is now officially named and 2nd Vision comes online

In Episode 8 of WandaVision - The Avengers, the sorcerer Agatha Harkness uses her enchantments to suppress Wanda's magic power inside the basement and takes advantages of Tommy and Billy as hostages to force Wanda to gradually reveal the process of her possession of magic power and creating Westview .

THE DARK MAGIC OF AGATHA HARKNESS

The episode begins with the Salem Witch Trials in Massachusetts in 1693, when the young Agatha is escorted by a group of witches to be tied to a pillar for execution. Agatha is found guilty of betrayal to her coven for stealing knowledge and practicing "the darkest of magic". Agatha argues that she "knows nothing of these crimes", for  "they simply bent to her power" and asked for forgiveness.

The Master Witch - whom Agatha called Mother - remains firm with the conviction and orders the execution. The witches begin to cast magic on Agatha to kill her, but in the end they all are drained of their vitality and life energy by Agatha, and turned into dry corpses, even the Master Witch faces the same fate.

WHO IS PIETRO IN WANDAVISION ACTUALLY?

After Episode 7, we know that Pietro is fake but not sure how he is faked. In the words of Agatha, Pietro is actually just an illusion created by Agatha to easily approach Wanda and learn how Wanda created Westview in Episode 6. Pietro is simply created by the magic of Agatha, and it is illustrated by how Agatha grants soul to an insect then turns it into a bird, then a rabbit.

Perhaps Pietro's "eyes and ears" did not help Agatha exploit the necessary information from Wanda, so Agatha finally decided to force Wanda to recall each milestone of her life so that Agatha could determine where Wanda's power came from and how she created Westview.

ANOTHER VISION IS COMING SOON

As such, Vision in the Westview world was created purely by Wanda's magic from nothing, not from a robotic corpse that Wanda robbed and cast magic on it to bring it to life as said by SWORD Director.

The Vision robot corpse, or more accurately the robot equipment,  remains at SWORD heaquarter, and as Director Tyler said, they have been taking it apart and reassembling millions of times but still fails to activate its function.

The energy from the Hexagon seems to bring Vision to life again - now in a white form. Maybe SWORD wants to revive the White Vision into a multi-billion dollar war machine that is just following orders and commands, instead of an emotional and conscientious Vision.

We may wonder what the revived real Vision would be like without the Soul Stone and what the relationship between WANDA - VIRTUAL VISION (RED) - REAL VISION (WHITE) would be.

WANDA's CHAOS MAGIC

At the end of the episode, Agatha affirms Wanda's magic is CHAOS MAGIC - it is the most powerful magic in the universe capable of manipulating, transforming, and recreating the structure of things. and the reality. 

And for the first time in the Wandavision series or even in the MCU, Wanda is officially called the Witch Scarlet.

Wandavision Episode 7: Monica is Photon while Agnes is Agatha Harkness

In Episode 7 of WandaVision - The Avengers, Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) after crossing the energy wall of the Westview Hex has turned herself into the super Photon, and the nosy neighbor Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) reveals herself as the powerful witch Agatha Harkness; Quicksilver, although not shown in the episode, is now identified by Wanda as a fake.

Monica tries to convince Wanda about SWORD's plot but is rejected by Wanda.

WHAT'S BEHIND VISION'S RESURRECTION?

Vision (Paul Bettany) wakes up within the extended boundaries of the Hex and with Darcy (Kat Dennings) spends the whole time in the episode running around a circus literally and then trying to get to Wanda at home in downtown Westview. But they constantly encounter obstacles along the way. Hopeless, Vision decides to use his super powers to fly back on his own.

It's shown in the episode that Vision's resurrection depends on Wanda's magic, but unlike the rest of Westview's citizens, Vision retains his consciousness and freedom in his mind as well as his supernatural powers. The only thing that Vision is short of is his memory of the past.

WHEN HEX IS EXPANDED, WANDA'S CONTROL OVER IT GETS WEAKENED

Westview begins to show signs of instability towards disintegration, and Wanda seems to be unable to stop that trend.

Many details in the episode show the instability and lack of cohesion going on in Westview: Billy and Tommy's video game controllers reverting to Atari controllers and then to UNO cards, Wanda's kernel bottles turning into a black and white glass bottle of cow milk; many objects in Wanda's house continuously transforming in messy formats of the times.

The most obvious reason for the fact the Wandavision sitcom is slipping away may be because when Wanda expanded the Hex, she overused her abilities, causing some details just to slip through the cracks. What's even more sad for Wanda is that she can't fix it. The other reason can be that the powerful Agatha is pulling the strings.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF AGATHA?

The lyrics at the end of the Episode highlight Agatha's masterminding role in major incidents at Westview, leading to Vision's doubt and efforts to break through the wall, and then Wanda's expansion of the town border to save him.

Maybe what Agatha wants is Wanda's magic, so she helped create a reality that provides Wanda with what she wants or thought she wanted to have: a family life with Vision with her children, but actually it is getting Wanda trapped in the grief her own.

The longer she stays in that virtual state, the weaker Wanda's defense and power becomes, allowing Agatha to absorb Wanda's full strength. And now that Agatha thinks Wanda is in her weakest state, Agatha reveals herself after having done something to Billy and Tommy - possibly kidnapped to serve some dark intent, or even killed the kids.

Extraction 2020 - another stage for excellent action performance by Thor star

Extraction is a 2020 American action thriller film starring Chris Hemsworth. The film which is characterized by continuous action sequences and extreme violence is released on Netflix and is the most-watched movie ever in this channel.

EXTRACTION MOVIE PLOT

The film follows a black-market mercenary on his journey to rescue  son of an Indian drug lord kidnapped in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a target of a $10 million bounty.

Ovi, the adolescent son of an Indian drug lord (in prison), sneaks out of his house to hang out when he is kidnapped by polices working for another drug lord Amir Asif who is the rival to his father. Saju Rav, Ovi's protector, reports the incident to Ovi's father in prison. Not wanting to pay the ransom because it would damage his reputation, Ovi's father orders Saju to find a way to rescue the boy, otherwise Saju's family would be threatened.

Saju hires Nik Khan's team (played by Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani) to execute the rescue, in which Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) plays a leading role. Rake successfully rescues Ovi, and is taking the boy to the extraction, but Saju deliberately refuses to transfer money. Instead, Saju kills Rake's teammates and tries to kill Rake also to prove to his boss that he is the savior of Ovi.

During the extraction journey, Rake has to fight constantly: he confronts Saju to take back the package, fatally struggles with the local police forces controlled and masterminded by Asif, then be caught in the non-sensed fight with young thugs on the street ... Rake also has to deal with the situation of a treacherous teammate, who wants him to simply kill Ovi and split the $10 million bounty offered by Asif.

EXTRACTION 2020 REVIEW

Most critics praised Chris Hemsworth for his excellent performance in action sequences and emotional scenes. However, the movie is somewhat pulled down by excessive violence for low-profile goals.

Extraction is also considered to mimic the combat scenes of the John Wick series, however the non-stop layout of actions looks more like a real life version of an extremely violent video games such as Manhunt 2 or CrossFire.

In addition, some also criticized the film for depicting a Dhaka - the capital of Bangladesh too dark, shabby, out of date and ... inaccurate, but nonetheless it is Dhaka. Although the setting is Dhaka, most of the scenes were shot in India and Thailand.

EXTRACTION UNIVERSE OUTLOOK

In May 2020, it was reported that Joe Russo had been hired to write a sequel to the film, with the intention of Chris Hemsworth coming back. In late 2020, the Russo Brothers announced that in addition to a single sequel, they hope to develop a whole universe set in the Extraction to explore some of the characters that were featured in the first film and much more beyound that.

Wandavision Episode 6: The Hex Tsunami on Halloween

In Episode 6 of WandaVision - The Avengers, the town of Westview is on its Hallowen and our characters in costumes ... just identical to what they are in Marvel Comics world. Vision riskily and fatally ventures beyond Westview and Wanda has to make a territorial expansion of Hex to save him.

THE CURIOSITY OF VISION AND HIS FATE

Everything of Westview on the Halloween is going on joyfully until Vision walks to the edge of the town and find some people in a motionless state, just like the characters from an online game suddenly standing still because server connection loss.

There, Vision also meets Agnes in a state of dumbness in a car. After a bizarre conversation with her, he learns somewhat of the truth about virtual life in Westview, which prompts Vision to try to break through the wall of energy separating the town from the rest of the world. But just out of the way on the other side, he is dragged back piece by piece into Wanda's "Hex" world, and he begins to disintegrate.

HEX TSUNAMI

At that time Wanda is in the center of town, after knowing for sure that Vision is dying (thanks to Billy's telepathic powers), she concentrates her strength (forcing her to pause everything and everyone else in Westview) and uses her magic to expand Hex's territory, creating the scene like a tsunami slowly consuming everything inside. Interestingly, everything when caught in will be transformed into characters or furniture in Halloween styles.

This seemed to have saved Vision, but it consumed almost all of S.W.O.R.D's resources: cars, buildings and soldiers ... Darcy, who is handcuffed to a car by that time is alway touched by Hex, but we have yet to see how her fate will turn out.

Wandavision Episode 5: Wanda and S.W.O.R.D. in confrontation

In Episode 4 of WandaVision - The Avengers, the realities created by Wanda inside Westview are tending to go beyond her control. Meanwhile, S.W.O.R.D. moves a strong intervention to target her, that makes Wanda to come out and confront them.

THE FLASH CHILDHOOD OF TOMMY AND BILLY

The episode starts with the strenuous childcare scene of the young parents Wanda and Vision, with lots of fun details, especially with the appearance of the talkative but kind-hearted neighbor Agnes. Time flow in the Westview world is so quick that two Wanda's kids turn 10 years old just after a few moments.

S.W.O.R.D. AND WANDA

In the real world outside, Director Tyler Hayward (Josh Stamberg) of S.W.O.R.D. tends to think that Wanda is a "terrorist", a threat to the world considering factors like: she "kidnapped" an entire town, she attacked to rob Vision's corpse nine days earlier, and the past events in which she did not have good control of her ability to inflict many civilian casualties when she was an Avenger. Monica believes in the benevolence of Wanda and thinks that Wanda is just changing the reality in a way she dreams of about this life, not a terrorist. With the help of Darcy Lewis, she finds a way to prove her claim. Going a step further, they seek to send an email into Wanda's virtual world - through the early-aged computer at Vision's workplace and the electronic data remains "unchanged" while other realities there do. One drone by S.W.O.R.D. is sent inside Westview, Monica tries to talk to Wanda from the device's camera. She does not know that it was equipped with a missile, as directed by Tyler Hayward to terminate Wanda. Wanda angrily rushes out of Westview's energy wall and attempts to fight S.W.O.R.D. However, Monica persuades her to calm down.

VISION'S GROWING DOUBTS

Vision reads the contents of the email sent by S.W.O.R.D. and he starts to have something in mind, and a colleague who seem to get out of Wanda's controlling power for a short moment tells Vision "You have to stop her. She's in my head. None of it is my own".

Combining these facts, plus the wonder about his blank memory before Westview, Vision argues with Wanda, "What is outside of Westview?".

PIETRO REBORN IN WESTVIEW

At the end of the episode, Wanda's twin brother, Pietro, who died in the events of the Age of Ultron suddenly appears at Wanda's doorstep, to her own amazement. It seems she wasn't the one who purposely recast Pietro - so what or who made it happen?

Wandavision Episode 4 - Well, Wanda has something not under her control

Episode 4 of WandaVision in the Avengers Universe explains the truth behind the sitcom world that Wanda has created and is living in. The events in the episode are in the real world, happenings just outside the virtual world of the town Westview that Wanda is ruling by her magical power.

Wanda tends to be tough and whoever interupts her virtual show can soon be her enemy.

The episode's main stream follows Monica Rambeau - a member of S.W.O.R.D. revived in the context of what we know being the time to reverse Thanos' destructive snap in The Avengers: Endgame. She runs to find her mother - Maria Rambeau to find out that she died 5 years ago. She visits to S.W.O.R.D.'s headquarters to receive a job assignment from Acting Director Tyler Hayward (actor Josh Stamberg) - who has replaced her mother's position since.

Monica Rambeau's new mission is to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a town named Westview which has 3,892 inhabitants - it is almost wiped out from reality as every memory of it and the residents living there seems to be wiped out. In this mission she works with an FBI agent named Jimmy Woo (actor Randall Park) - a character in Ant-Man.

They stand outside the town's boundaries, Monica deploys a drone that flies into Westview territory and it disappears when crossing the energy wall - it was the colored toy helicopter Wanda captured in the garden in WandaVision Episode 2. Monica steps up to touch her hand on the enegery wall and was sucked into it. Monica's sudden disappearance causes S.W.O.R.D and many other security organizations to set up a series of research and surveillance bases outside of Westview's boundaries. Four top scientists are summoned to assist, including Darcy Lewis - a character in Thor - she now has a doctorate in astrophysics. Darcy finds out that there is a huge amount of cosmic microwave background radiation (CMBR) in the area. She offers to find an old TV and get a full picture of what's going on in the Wandavision sitcom. In later developments, S.W.O.R.D also send a person following the sewer to enter Westview - which explains why a man in insect repellent clothing appeared mysteriously from a manhole on the street in Episode 2. With Darcy's suggestion and support, Jimmy Woo also tries to contact Wanda via the radio - this explains the strange voices coming from a radio next to Wanda in Episode 2.

Wanda has created a virtual and perfect world as she dreams of, with the characters living therein being real people. In a moment when magic is neglected shortly, she sees Vision's true face and form: a dead, lifeless robotic corpse with no Soul Stone on his forehead.

If everything is virtual, we wonder if the babies Tommy and Billy just born are real or not?

WandaVision Season 1 Episode 3 - Twins delivered but truth still hidden

In Episode 3 of WandaVision in the Avengers Universe, Wanda's pregnancy grows abnormally fast and within a few days she gives birth to two boys, expected to be named Tommy and Billy. Many incidents in the episode suggests that Wanda is deliberately hiding a certain truth and reality from Vision.

While Vision goes out to obtain the doctor to help Wanda with the baby delivery, Geraldine the neighbor visits Wanda and unknowingly becomes Wanda's helper when the first baby is born. When Vision and the doctor get home, Wanda gives birth to a second child.

When Vision walks the doctor out, Wanda looks at her twins and says that she also had a twin brother. Geraldine unknowingly utters to words, "He was killed by Ultron, wasn't he?
