Arthur and Ammit's "Purification of Humanity" Plan

Having obtained Ammit's ushabti, Arthur transforms the scales staff into its significant power, and its effects now extend to cover over a large area.

Arthur goes to the Great Pyramids of Giza and kill the Avatars of the gods residing here, then resurrects Ammit in her original form and strength after more than 2,000 years later bond with the stone.

In fact, Arthur's scale is unbalanced, theoretically he should have been put to death; but Ammit spares Arthur and even chooses him as her Avatar for freeing her.

Their plan is that Arthur uses the Scepter to judge, purge and purify the people in Cairo, then expand to the whole world. Ammit will eat the souls of those whose scales are off balance.

The Help of Goddess Taweret

Taweret warns Marc that even if Marc-Steven's souls returned to the living world, the Marc's body remained dead with bullets inside; there would be no way out for them. The only solution is to free Konshu from the ushabti before their souls return.

Taweret enters a dead human in Cairo to inform Layla of the possibility that Marc/Steven will resurrect and that she needs to free Konshu first.

Later, Taweret also chooses Layla as her temporary) Avatar to support Konshu – Marc – Steven in the fight against Arthur – Ammit. Layla could become the first Egyptian Superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Jake Lockley – Marc's Third Personality

Some previous episodes of Moon Knight have implicitly confirmed the existence of another Marc personality, Jake Lockley: Moon Knight murdered several people, but both Marc and Steven confirmed that it was not by themselves; in episode 5, there was another coffin with people inside - it was probably Jake.

In the course of the battle with Arthur, Moon Knight would have probably lost and had to accept death if Jake's personality did not rise and take over to change the situation.

Jake is an assassinating, cold, ruthless and more combative version of Marc.

At the end of the episode, Steven wakes up in bed, also with his legs tied to prevent sleepwalking; In the aquarium there are now two goldfish, one fin and two fins. He had known about Marc and found harmony with Marc, but he has not yet known Jake Lockley.

Marc and Steven broke off with Konshu, and refused to kill Arthur (who carries Ammit's soul now) because they didn't want their hands to get more blood. In the episode credits, it's Jake who in-hesitantly does it, with Konshu beside ... encouraging him.

Taweret takes out Steven and Marc's hearts and put them on one Scales, the Feather of Truth on the other end. If the Scales balance when the boat reaches A'aru, their souls will go to heaven (Fields of Reed), otherwise they will be pulled by the dead to the underworld or hell (Duat).

The Scales constantly wobbles, forcing Steven and Marc to re-enter the house of past to review the memories of their lives, in order to find a balance. It is in this process that explains how Marc was chosen by Konshu to become the Moon Knight, and the origin of the Marc-Steven personality separation.

In the past, Marc took his younger brother to play in the forest, but the younger brother died in an accident. This made Marc's mother blame all the guilt on Marc and badly treat as well as and torture Marc since then. Marc's childhood was a series of unhappy days. When he grew up, Marc ran away from home and became a mercenary (assassin).

On the day Marc's mother died, Marc returned and thought that his mother's death would make Marc release all his childhood frustrations and miseries. But the truth is no, it distracts Marc and gives birth to another personality, Steven. Steven often called a non-existent number and speaks to the nobody as "mom", with full of passions, and often lamented, shared all the troubles in his life.

Steven is the bright version of life that Marc wants to have. So, basically, the Moon Knight stories originated in a family tragedy.

From the motifs and characters on the relics in the tomb, Steven believes that this is the long-lost tomb of Alexander the Great (Kingdom of Macedonia). Steven's theory is that Alexander the Great was the "Voice" or embodiment of Goddess Ammit.

Assuming Ammit's soul will be bond to a Ushabti; Steven tries to get into Alexander mummy's intestines to get it.

Slower than Steven in finding the mummy, Arthur cunningly tries to stir up conflict between Layla and Marc over the death of Layla's father. This causes Layla and Marc to argue for a while, giving Arthur's followers enough time to drag to the mummy and get Marc surrounded.

Arthur shoots Marc several times; but it seems this make the Marc and Steven personalities to split into independent people, possibly because Marc was holding Ammit's Ushabti or some other mysterious reason.

Thanks to the guidance of Ammit's scarab,  Arthur and his followers discover the location of Ammit's tomb in the desert and begin digging. In Cairo, Steven/Marc fails to track down Arthur's whereabouts.

When no information is obtained, Khonshu alters the circulation of the sun and moon to summon the Egyptian gods through their human Avatars. Khonshu's purpose is to warn them of Arthur's plan. However, the cunning Arthur successfully denies the accusations, even making the gods turn to judge and threaten Khonshu.

Yatzil - the Avatar of Goddess Hathor who is the only one who believes in Khonshu, directs Marc to find the sarcophagus  of a medjay named Senfu who was tasked with recording the location of Ammit's tomb.

This sarcophagus is currently owned by an antique tycoon (and thief), Anton Mogart. Layla takes Marc to meet Anton - who she knew before. However, Arthur appears and destroys the sarcophagus, inciting a fight between Marc - Layla with Anton's bodyguards.

Before fleeing into the desert, Marc/Steven obtains a number of map fragments placed on the coffin to reattach to form a star map. However, that is the position of the stars 2000 years ago; Khonshu uses his powers to turn the night sky back to the exact night that the map was created, so that Layla can locate the position.

Because Khonshu's act of changing the order of nature, the other gods join forces to cast spells to imprison Khonshu in a ushabti. Because of this, Steve/Marc's body becomes unconscious and powerless.

The episode marks the appearance of actor Gaspard Ulliel as Anton, possibly as his last footage, after he died in a skiing accident 2 months ago.
